Sherman Joyce
President
sjoyce@atra.org
Graduate of Princeton University and Catholic University Law School, he served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator John C. Danforth until 1984. In 1987, after being admitted to the Virginia Bar, he became minority counsel to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where he worked on product liability legislation. Mr. Joyce assumed his current position in August 1994.

Darren McKinney
Director of Communications

He joins ATRA after five years with the National Association of Manufacturers. As a former award-winning television journalist with a Georgetown University M.A. in American government and public policy, Darren has also worked in key communications positions for two members of Congress and the Treasury Department.

Matt Fullenbaum
Director of Legislation

Matt comes to ATRA from the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) where he served as membership manager. Prior to joining IANA, he held positions in the economics and membership departments at the International Dairy Foods Association. Matt earned a bachelor of arts degree from The George Washington University.

Elizabeth Emery

Elizabeth comes to ATRA from the American Legislative Exchange Council, where she served as Policy Coordinator. Previous to that, she spent some time working in the Office of the House Majority Whip on Capitol Hill. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State College.

Gretchen S. Post
Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Gretchen joined the ATRA team in June 2003 bringing 26 years of Capitol Hill experience with her. She comes to ATRA from the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

Geneva Carney
Membership Coordinator
gcarney@atra.org
experienced in social services and customer service, Geneva joined ATRA in July 1993 as our Database Assistant and assumed her present position in January 1996.
